Ukraine should as soon as possible integrate into Europe, declares Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
"For Ukraine it is the question to be or not to be. For the Europe it is the answer on that challenges it face because of the world crisis", - V. Lytvyn announced having a speech in National Museum of Denmark.
In his speech the Chairman described two approaches that exist in Ukraine for the determinig of the foreign policy vector. The first model returning to the industrial type of development with the main attention paid to the energy consumption economics. "It means Euro Asian approach at now it dominates over the European rhetoric", - he mentioned.
The second approach according to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine - is introduction and development of the informative and post informational society with the main attention paid to the science, education and technologies. "It is European decision. Crisis is the perfect opportunity to become closer to that model", - V. Lytvyn declared.
V. Lytvyn in his speech emphasized that Ukraine with its geopolitical situating is an essential partner for the Europe. "Ukraine is an epicenter of the political attention", - he declared. Moreover V. Lytvyn proclaimed that Ukraine can make the considerable contribution to the solving of the food crisis and reminded that in Soviet Union Ukraine produced the total amount of food enough for 250 mln. people.
V. Lytvyn stressed on the necessity of the signing of the Treaty on Association that according to him would be an extra stimulus for the country.
